80’s Pop Classic “Gloria” Adopted As Theme Song For Quest to Return GloriaBorger.com

We feel like John Cusack’s character in Say Anything right now.  Except, we’re not trying to get the girl of our dreams to like us, we’re trying to get CNN’s Gloria Borger to notice us so we can give her GloriaBorger.com.

As part of our quest to return GloriaBorger.com to Gloria Borger, we’ve adopted Laura Branigan’s 80′ classic “Gloria” as our official theme song. And, below video, you’ll see how applicable the first few verses are to our cause.

Gloria, you’re always on the run now (that’s you Gloria Borger).

Running after somebody, you gotta get him somehow (that’s us chasing you with the domain name).

I think you’ve got to slow down, before you start to blow it (that’s about us, probably seeming like a stalker trying to return this domain).

I think your headed for a breakdown, so be careful not to show it (again, that’s us)

You really don’t remember, was it something that he said? (something in our original post about robin hooding GloriaBorger.com?)

All the voices in your head calling, Gloria? (that is so us)

Gloria, don’t you think you’re fallin? (you’re not, but we might be)

If everybody wants you, why isn’t anybody callin? (we just assumed you’d want GloriaBorger.com and would have contacted us by now…so this line is about us, not you, Gloria).

You don’t have to answer (which you’re not, so…)

Leave them hangin’ on the line, oh-oh-oh, calling Gloria (that’s us on our knees calling out to you Gloria)

Gloria ,Gloria, I think they got your number, Gloria (if we had your number, we’d have called by now)

I think they got the alias, Gloria, that you’ve been living under, Gloria (obviously the alias isn’t GloriaBorger.com)

But you really don’t remember, was it something that they said? (was it our last post or one of tweets?)

All the voices in your head, calling Gloria? (if you have any voices in your head calling Gloria, ours are the friendly ones, not those CPAC people).
